Overview
If your employees punch in and out for work, you will be able to approve these clockings. Before approving clockings, you will need to ensure that your employees are correctly set up for time and attendance purposes. Click here for information. After doing so, you may generate a timesheet report.
There are four different kinds of reports:
- Timesheet Report
- Timesheet Exceptions Report
- Approved Timesheet Report
- Total Timesheets Report
Permissions
To make use of this you will need to have the Approve Time Clocking or View Time Clocking permission.
How to download
To generate any of the four documents, you will need to go to the Time & Attendance section. From here you may click on either Clockings or Review and Approve. From either of the two tabs, click on reports. Then, select the report and click 'download':
Timesheet Report
This report includes all the clockings of a given period. It can be downloaded in PDF or Excel. You may also choose to view all employees, third party contractors, or all employees excluding third party contractors. You may also exclude active/broken clockings from the report.
Timesheet Exceptions Report
This report includes all the clocking exceptions of a given period. It can be downloaded in PDF or Excel. You may also choose to view all employees, third party contractors, or all employees excluding third party contractors.
Approved Timesheets Report

This report shows the hours that employees should have worked (i.e. the hours in the employees' assigned shifts) vs the hours that were actually worked (clockings) vs the hours that were approved. These are further divided between basic and overtime. You can also see the basic amount in hours and the basic rate for employees in the report.
Total Timesheets Report
This report shows the total hours clocked, scheduled and approved (basic and overtime). This report also includes a breakdown of the leave types and overtime rates.
