Overview
This feature allows administrators to set a default time zone for the company portal. When booking leave from different regions, employees can choose between their local time zone or the company default if the two differ.
Required Permissions
The Manage Client Settings permission is required to configure the default time zone. Additionally, ensure employees are granted the following leave permissions to utilise this feature:
- Approve Leave
- Request Leave
- View Other Employee Leave
How to Set Up Your Company Time Zone
Follow these steps to establish your organisation's default time zone:
- Go to the Settings menu.
- Under System Settings, select Company Time Zone.
- Click the edit icon, select your preferred time zone from the drop-down menu, and click Save Changes.
Employee Workflow: Requesting Leave
Once configured, employees requesting hourly leave (rather than full-day requests) will see a mandatory field to select their time zone. The available options include:
- Portal Default: The time zone set for your Talexio portal.
- Device Default: The time zone detected on the employee's current device.
The selected time zone is visible to the approver during the request review process.
Following approval, the specific time zone associated with the request remains visible within the employee's leave records.
