Whether it’s for a holiday, an appointment, or just a well-earned day off, here’s how to request your leave step by step.
Your account has been created by a System Administrator within your company. These System Administrators are your first point of contact when you have questions about the system.

The Process
After logging in to your Talexio account, the simplest way to book leave is from your Dashboard:
- From your Dashboard, click on +Book Leave:
- In the box that appears, add the following details:
- Leave Type* - What type of leave are you requesting? For example: Vacation Leave, Sick Leave, etc.
- Date/Time Range* - When would you like to go on leave? If it is not for a full day, disable the Full Day toggle to specify the time range, or choose one of the Time Slots.
- Note - Need to give more information to your manager? Using the Note field, you can give more information about the request.
Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory and must be filled out before you can submit. -
Click on Submit Leave to make the request.If you would like to add more dates to the request, click on Customise and Review.
- In the modal that appears, your first booking will show. To add more dates, click +Add More Dates and add the details of the other leave requests.
- Click on Submit Leave Request to make the request.

Who approves my leave request? |
After you submit your leave request, Talexio will email it to the person responsible for approving it. The approver will be set by your System Administrator. |
How will I know if my leave has been approved? |
Once your leave approver has approved/rejected your leave request, you will receive an email notification letting you know the decision. |
Can I cancel or change my leave after I’ve submitted it? |
Yes, you can. This will also go through the approval process, where your leave approver will approve the change/cancellation. |
What types of leave can I request? |
The Leave Type drop-down menu in the leave booking process is determined by your System Administrator. If there is a leave type missing there, you will need to speak to them to correct it. |
Can I see how much leave I have left? |
Yes, you can. On your Dashboard, there is a Leave Entitlements pod that shows your remaining balance. You can also see it when booking leave by clicking on View Balance under the Leave Type field. |
What if I don’t have enough leave days available? |
If your System Administrator has allowed it, Talexio will allow the request to be booked as Unpaid leave. If Unpaid leave is not allowed, you will not be allowed to request the leave. |
