Overview

Companies can let their employees bank hours, or sometimes referred to as time off in lieu, to book as leave at a later point instead of being paid for overtime. If you would like to see how much time you have banked, this article will show you how.

Your account has been created by a System Administrator within your company. These System Administrators are your first point of contact when you have questions about the system.
Of course, we are here to help when you need us!

The Process

To find out the number of hours banked, from your Dashboard, simply look at your Leave Entitlement pod. You may have to click Show other balances to expand the pod.

The pod will then show you the balance. To see a breakdown of the hours banked and when they were banked from, click on the number of hours under the entitlement column.

Frequently Asked Questions

Question

Answer

When are banked hours added to my balance? Banked hours are added after your manager approves additional hours you've worked. This will happen depending on your internal company processes.
Why haven’t my banked hours appeared yet?

If no banked hours are showing, it will be because either the manager has not approved the hours yet, or no additional hours were worked to be approved as banked hours.

Do my banked hours expire?

There is no expiration date on Talexio, however, hours are added to the leave type for that calendar year. Depending on the company policy, these can be carried over into the next year. If not, they will expire at the end of the year they were banked in.
Can I transfer my banked hours to another leave type? Hours banked can be transferred to other leave types in Talexio. You would need to discuss this with your manager or System Administrator, who will do this for you, based on your company's policies.
What should I do if my banked hours balance looks incorrect? You would need to discuss this with your manager or System Administrator, who will explain or correct the balance.
