Overview

Once your Team Voice departments are set up, you can enhance your analysis by adding filters to segment responses more effectively. Several pre built filters are available for immediate use, and you also have the option to create custom filters, enabling you to tailor insights to your specific needs.

Permissions

To add filters, you must have Manage Survey permissions or be a Survey Admin. Having the Create TeamVoice permission and being the creator of the TeamVoice allows you to add and create filters as well.

Defining your Filters

The next step in creating your Team Voice is adding filters. Filters allow you to segment your results for deeper analysis. While this step is not mandatory, it is highly recommended to gain more meaningful insights.

  1. Click Add Filter.
  2. Select a filter from the dropdown. By default, three standard filters are provided: Age, Gender, and Tenure. You can also choose to create your own custom filters.
  3. Click Save & Close or Save & Add Another.

Once the filter has been added, it will be displayed in a table, allowing you to remove any unnecessary filters or add any additional ones you may require. To remove a filter, click on the three dots on the right-hand side of the filter and select Delete.

Creating a Custom Filter

The system provides three standard filters, but they may not fully meet your organisation’s specific needs. Custom filters give you the flexibility to tailor segmentation precisely to your requirements.

To create your own custom filter:

  1. Click Add Filter.
  2. From the dropdown, select “Create Custom Filter.”
    • Filter Name: The label you assign to the filter, making it easy to identify and distinguish from others.
    • Question: The specific question being asked to participants.
    • Response Type: Choose either Multiple Choice or Dropdown.
  3. Add the options in to be selected. Pressing " Add Other" will automatically include other as one of the option for selection.
  4. Click Save.

Multiple Choice refers to the style of answer options (radio buttons), but participants can select only one answer.

Next Step

Now that you’ve finalised and set up your filters, the next important step is adding the participants who will be taking part in your Team Voice.

This step is essential, as it determines who will receive and engage with the Team Voice experience. You can find more details on how to add participants in the following article.
