Overview

An Interview Report is a vital tool for documenting a candidate's performance and ensuring a data-driven hiring process. It allows interviewers to record structured feedback, capture financial expectations, and provide personality ratings either during the interview or immediately after it concludes. By utilizing structured reports, your hiring team ensures that candidate evaluations remain objective, consistent, and easy to compare across the entire recruitment pipeline.

How to Create an Interview Report

  1. Navigate to the Candidates section and select the profile of the person you interviewed.
  2. Click on the Interviews tab.
  3. Locate the specific interview session and click the Add Report button on the right-hand side.
  4. Input your report notes, assign the Candidate Ratings (HEXACO), and complete the Additional Information section.
  5. Click Save to finalise the report.

The interview report can also be accessed from the Interview pod within the candidate's dashboard.

Understanding HEXACO Ratings

The HEXACO Personality Inventory is a scientifically-backed model designed to measure six key personality traits. In Talexio, you can rate candidates on a scale of 0 to 10 for each trait to gauge their fit for the role:

  • Honesty-Humility: Gauges the candidate's sincerity, fairness, and lack of greed or self-entitlement.
  • Emotionality: Reflects the candidate's stress tolerance, empathy, and need for emotional support.
  • Extraversion: Measures social confidence, energy levels, and the ability to engage positively with others.
  • Agreeableness: Defines the candidate’s capacity for cooperation, patience, and handling interpersonal conflict.
  • Conscientiousness: Evaluates organisational skills, work ethic, and attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Openness to Experience: Measures intellectual curiosity, creativity, and receptiveness to new or unconventional ideas.
  • Sophistication: Assesses a candidate's social awareness, professional polish, and refinement.

Additional Information & Salary Details

The bottom half of the report is dedicated to logistical and financial data which is vital for the final hiring stages:

  • Current & Expected Salary: Track the candidate's current compensation and their expectations (Annual or Monthly).
  • Current Monetary Benefits: Record any recurring financial bonuses or allowances.
  • Benefits: Note non-monetary perks, such as health insurance, company cars, or remote work flexibility.
  • Notice Period: Specify the duration of the candidate's current contractual notice period.
  • Star Candidate: Check the "Mark as star candidate" box if the individual is a top priority for the role.
