Overview

What you can see and do on Talexio depends on the permissions you have in place. Your profile can be granted a set of permissions before you log in for the first time, and they can also be customised at a later stage. It is important to grant users the correct permissions before giving them access to Talexio. The below lists all the possible permissions. Although this might sound daunting, we've got you covered. Permissions

To be able to set permissions, you will need the Manage Permissions permission set on Global. 

 

What is a permission?

A permission is the right to perform a particular action. There are 2 levels to each permission on Talexio: local and global. Local means that a permission restricts you (the person with the permission) to perform actions (for example: approve leave, manage employee data, view salaries, etc.) for specific employees or departments. Global means that a permission assigned to you allows you to perform an action on a global level (for example: approve leave for all the employees on your account, manage the profiles of all the employees on your account, etc.).

Where can I find the available permissions?

Permissions can be located from the Permissions section:

After navigating to the Permissions section, you can find the full list of permissions by clicking on the third tab in the section (titled permissions). Here, you will see a list of each permission in alphabetical order. Clicking on an individual permission will show you which permission roles and employees are assigned this permission.

The employees shown here are those who have the permission assigned as an additional permission. To view who has the permission as part of a role, click on the role.

You can also find the permissions sorted per module when creating a permission role:

From here, you can select the different permissions and assign them to the role you have created. But what does each permission mean and do?
