To set up this action we will be going through a different method, this method is done through an app called “Looping by Zapier”. This action is an example for zaps regarding payroll functions in Talexio.
- Go to the Zap just created and select the trigger followed by an app and event and click “Continue”.
- Choose your previously configured Talexio account.
- The default setting for the Zap data will be displayed, click “Continue” to start setting up the action.
- Next we need to set up the action by clicking on the + Icon between the trigger and the Action. Here we will use an app called “Looping by Zapier”.
- Now we will set up an “Action event”. Since there are numerous items to fetch from a payroll we will use the “Create Loop From Line Items” and click on “Continue”
- In this step we need to add an individual value to our line items. Each one will correspond to a line item in the payroll. Naming each “Values To Loop” item the same as a line item will help with setting up your zap.
- To add more line items simply click on the “+” icon. Keep adding your preferred fields until completion.
- When complete, leave the remaining settings as default and click on “Continue” to proceed to the next steps.
- A preview of the selected fields will be displayed on your screen along with two options. Click on “Test & Continue” to make sure everything is set up correctly before proceeding.
- Your zap is now set up successfully, click on “Publish” to finish.
-
- Click on the “+” icon and select an “App Event” and an “Action Event”. Click “Continue to proceed to the next steps.
- Choose the account which is linked to the previously selected application and click on “Continue”
- Set up your action by including the required information.
Fields that require data from line items need to be selected correctly otherwise the zap will not be configured correctly. Keep in mind that you need to select items which are located in the “Create Loop From Line items”.
- Complete the required fields and remember to select the fields from the “Line Items”
- When the fields required have been submitted, click on “Continue”. A preview of the selected fields will be displayed on your screen along with two options. Click on “Test & Continue” to make sure everything is set up correctly before proceeding.
- If these steps have been followed correctly you will receive an email in your inbox. Remember this is a test and not an actual zap, confirm the information in the email, once confirmed click on “Turn on Zap”.
- Your zap is now set up, don’t forget to check your inbox.
-
- Go to your currently set up zaps and click the one you would like to edit.
- Click on the “+” icon located below your current action.
- Choose an application from the list.
- Set up an event. An event is what the function will do.
- Connect the action to the application by signing in to the desired account and click on “Allow”.
- Click on “Continue” to proceed to the next steps.
- Set up your action. This is where we determine which file will be updated.
- Select the data and click “Continue”.
- A preview of the selected fields will be displayed on your screen along with two options. Click on “Test & Continue” to make sure everything is set up correctly before proceeding.
