Overview

When applications are submitted, they will need to be reviewed so that they can be progressed further or closed. This article explains how this can be done on Talexio ATS.

Reviewing Candidate Applications

After a candidate has applied for a vacancy, these can be reviewed from 2 locations:

  • From the Vacancy
  • From the Candidate
    1. Go to the Vacancies list and locate the Vacancy.
    2. Click on the vacancy title to open the vacancy. Click on the Applications tab to see the full list of applications.

      • You can click on the individual candidate's name to jump to their profile and action the application from there.
    3. From the 3 dot menu ⋮ at the end of the candidate row, you can view the Candidate's Resume📄, send the Candidate's information to someone else by email, add and view notes, update the application status and view the status history.

      • The email icon 📧 is a quick access to send an email to the candidate.



    4. The same options can be done in bulk for multiple employees by clicking on the checkbox next to each candidate and then clicking on Bulk Actions.



    1. Go to the Candidates list and locate the candidate.
    2. Click on their name to open the profile. Click on the Applications tab to see all the applications made by the specific candidate.



    3. From the 3 dot menu ⋮ at the end of the candidate row, you can update the application status, send an email to the candidate 📧, send the Candidate's information to someone else by email, and view the status history.

      • The email icon 📧 is a quick access to send an email to the candidate.


    4. Clicking on the checkbox next to each vacancy application and then clicking on Bulk Actions allows you to change the application statuses in bulk.

Changing the Application Status

As stated in the processes above, there are different steps that can be taken in the process of reviewing an application. A key step is updating the application statuses to progress the applications to each stage. The process of updating the application status is the same no matter where it is done.

If you click on the Application Status dropdown in the columns, where you can search for the new status and select it, the system will update the status only. No email will be sent to the candidate.

Bulk Update Application Statuses

If you select the option to bulk update application statuses, the steps outlined in the process above apply in the same manner, except the actions are triggered by selecting the Bulk Actions as shown below:

 

From the bulk change of application statuses, you can choose either Change Status, to update the statuses only; or Change Status & Send Email, to update the status and send an email to the candidates together.

As a bulk action, candidates will be moved to the same new status. If the option to send an email with the change is selected, the placeholders in the email templates will be populated with each candidate's details respectively.
