If your employees have a personalised rotation, you can give employees additional shifts and specify whether they are to be worked on that same day or not. This will give you the ability to assign your employees with same day shifts that do not overlap.
To be able to use this feature, you will need the following permissions:
- Manage T&A Working Schedules;
- Manage Time and Attendance Settings;
- View/Manage All Employee Data;
- Manage Employment Position History or Manage Employment Position History (excluding remuneration).
What comes first
Prior to doing this, you need to ensure you set up the personalised rotation patterns. For more information on how to set up personalised rotation patterns, click here.
When adding shifts to a rotation pattern a new toggle titled "Is next day" is available. This specifies if the shift should be for the next day or not.
When added to the rotation pattern and a shift is not set as "Is next day", the same day of the previous shift will appear.
Upon generating the set pattern in scheduler, the same day shift will be displayed accordingly.
Note: Same day shifts will be generated as a single day not as multiple. If the first one from the two is selected and generation for only one day takes place both shifts will be generated unless the second shift is selected.
