Overview
The Pay Management module enables you to manage and implement salary increments across your organisation. Once approved, all compensation adjustments are automatically updated in the employee's position history, ensuring seamless record-keeping.
Permissions
If you have the permission Create Draft Salary Review, you will be able to create draft reviews. If you have the permission Approve Salary Review then you will be able to approve draft salary reviews.
Uploading Salary Reviews in Bulk
Click on Pay Management from the left menu, then click on the 3 dot menu and click Bulk Upload - Salary Reviews.
From the dialog box that appears, click on the button to download the template.
More information on the columns is explained in this article.
Complete the columns included in the template and save it.
From the dialog box where the template was downloaded, upload the saved file.
Once the file is uploaded, the uploaded reviews will be available in the Draft Reviews tab.
You can include multiple employees and salary types (Yearly, Hourly, or Grades) in one file. The file does not have a column to reflect the salary type, but updates the employee positions based on the current salary type. All existing benefits, rates, and perks will also carry over to the new position.
Once the draft salary reviews have been uploaded, they can be sent for approval following the steps outlined in this article.
Bulk Upload Template Columns
In the bulk upload template, you will find the following columns, which are explained in detail:
- Employee - The employee can be selected from the dropdown provided. The dropdown is populated based on employees created on Talexio, so if there is an employee missing from the dropdown, they will need to be created on Talexio and a new bulk upload template downloaded.
- EffectiveDate - The date from which the new salary will take effect. This is the date the employment position will begin from.
- NewSalaryAmount - If you would like to specify the new amount to be used, you can use this column to provide the new salary amount.
- FixedIncrementAmount - If the new salary is determined by a fixed increment from their current salary, you can use this column to specify the fixed increment amount.
- IncrementPercentage - If the new salary is determined by a fixed percentage from their current salary, you can use this column to specify the fixed increment percentage.
- MaximumIncrementAmount - When using IncrementPercentage, you can also specify a maximum amount that can be given.
- GradeProgression - Use grade progression to move an employee from their current grade progression salary toward a higher salary within a predefined grade progression structure. More information on grade progression can be found here.
