Overview
Before you start to configure your shifts and populate the Working schedule, it is best to set up the shift templates. Shift templates are patterns of work for your employees. Flextime shifts will not require employees to clock in and out at specific times, but simply to work the shift duration selected.

Scheduler View
Once the shift has been created, assigned to an employee(s) and published, users with the View Time and Attendance Working Schedule permission will be able to see the shift in the Working Schedule.
Each employee with a flexi-time shift will be able to view details of this on their calendar (if they have the permission View Time and Attendance Working Schedule):
Flexi Shifts without set hours
If you wish to set up a flexitime shift but do not want to assign specific hours to this shift, you can create a shift template with 'no specified time'.
Simply follow the above instructions and switch on 'no specified time':
Such shifts will show as 0 hours in the Working Schedule:
If such shifts are created and an employee punches in & out on the day, no exceptions will be shown in Review and Approve. You will be able to approve the clockings normally:
You will need to ensure that the employee's position is set to 'Use fixed Job Schedule hours limit'. With this selected, once 40 hours are approved in a given week (for full time employees), any remaining hours will be saved as overtime.
