Creating New Leave Types

Overview

Within your company, you may have additional Leave Types that can be requested by your employees other than the ones created by default for you on Talexio. This article explains how this can be done. 

Permissions

To set up and manage leave types, you will need the Manage Leave Types permission. Click here for more information on this permission.

Creating a New Leave Type

When creating a new Leave Type, it is recommended to review the Leave Type settings first so that you create the Leave Type according to your requirements.

  1. You will create a new Leave Type from the Leave Module. Across the top there is a tab Leave Types. Click this tab to view the Leave Types. From the top right, click + Add Leave Type which will present to you the Leave Type creation dialog.

  2. Here you will add the basic details of the new Leave Type such as Name, Colour and Type Settings. Once the details have been added, click Save.

  3. Your new Leave Type has been created and will now show in the list of Leave Types. There you can edit all settings of the Leave Type.

Entitlements for leave types are set either using the default entitlements or using Custom Leave Entitlement Profiles.
