Overview
Talexio provides a list of predefined application statuses that reflect the lifecycle of a candidate's application within a vacancy. Users with an ATS Plus account can create custom application statuses, allowing them to tailor the recruitment process and better track and manage candidates. The following article provides a step by step guide on how to create application statuses.
- Application Status
- Application status refers to the stage of a candidate's progress in the recruitment process, showing where their application stands from submission to final decision, such as hiring or rejection.
How to create an application status
The following are the steps which outline how to create an application status. To do so you will need to:
- Go to the Settings Section
- Under Configuration, Click on Application Statuses
- Click on "+Add Status"
- Fill in the respective details
- Application Status Title: This is the name that shows the current stage of an application. For example: Submitted, In Review, or Hired.
- Friendly Name: This is the version of the application status shown to candidates. For example, a status titled Submitted might be displayed to candidates as Application Received.

Status Value:
There are two options: Open and Closed.

Open: The application is still active and being considered.

Closed: The application process has ended. No further updates or submissions will be accepted.

- Dropdown Rank: This determines the position of the application status in a dropdown list. For example, you may want to set Reviewed as number 1 if it is one of your most commonly used statuses.
- Application Rank: This determines the position of this status on the applications page for easy visibility
- Applications visible to line managers: Setting this to “Yes” will show applications with this status in the vacancies that the line manager is linked to.
- Status available to users: This indicates whether candidates can see the status of their applications.
- Status available to line managers: Setting a status to “Yes” will allow the line manager to use this application status.
- Mark status as 'successful': Marking a status as successful means that once this status is selected, the candidate profile will be moved to the HR side and a profile will automatically be created for them.
- Click Create
Once created, the new application status will be available for you to assign to candidates within their applications.
