Overview

Through the introduction of the Performance Management Module, users can create check-ins, which may be used as catch up points between employees and their manager. This article explains how check-ins work in relation to the Performance Management Module.
 

 

Permissions

The permissions related to Objectives are:

  • Manage Performance Reviews- Allows the user to manage the performance reviews and assign them to employees, units or the entire company.
  • View Performance Reviews - Allows the user to view the performance reviews.

Creating Check-ins

Check-ins are created in the Check-ins tab in the Performance Management Module.

 

To create check-ins, follow the steps shown below.

  1. From the Check-ins tab, click on Create Check-in:

  2. In the box that appears, fill out the check-in details:

  • Manager - the reports-to manager of the employee
  • Employee - the person to whom the check-in is subject
  • Check-in date - the date of the check-in.

Accessing Check-ins

Once the check-in has been created, you may access the check-in by clicking on the employee in the check-ins tab list:

This will take you to the employee's check-in:

The employee check-in is made up of a number of pods:

  • This refers to any talking points that need to be discussed. These can be added by clicking on '+Add Talking Point':

  • This refers to items that need to be actioned by the employee. Add action items by clicking on +Add Action item:

  • These are the notes which the manager adds. Anyone with access to the employee's check-in page (the manager, the employee, and admins have access to view these notes). Only the manager whom the employee reports to can edit this section.



     
  • These are notes which the employee adds. Anyone with access to the employee's check-in page (the manager, the employee, and admins have access to view these notes). Only the Employee to whom this check-in refers can edit this section.

  • This is where you type in your shared notes (regardless if you are the manager, employee, or admin). Once updated, they will appear under the pod Name's shared notes.

  • This is where the manager or admin types in notes that are intended to be hidden from the employee.



     
  • This pod shows a snapshot of the employee's objective score:



     
  • This pod includes the employee's individual objectives. You may also amend the objectives from here:
