Overview
Once employees punch in/out of the online punch clock or physical punch clock device, their clockings are displayed in the Clockings tab in the Time and Attendance section.
Permissions
Either of the permission Manage Time Clocking and View Time Clocking will give you access to the Clockings tab. Please note that the Manage Time Clocking permission will give you access to manually add/edit clockings.
Where can I find the clockings?
Clockings can be found in the Time and Attendance section on your Talexio account. If you are an admin user, it will be the second tab on your screen:
This tab includes a list of all raw clockings imported into Talexio from the punch clock device, online punch clock, bulk upload, or else manual addition of clockings.
Clockings imported through the punch clock device generally take up a few minutes to appear, but the rest will appear instantly (in the case of bulk uploads, the clockings will appear as soon as the clockings are uploaded).

Online punch clock
Users with permission to use the online punch clock will be able to use the online punch clock both in their dashboard and in the clockings tab (both have the exact same use):

Adding Clockings Manually
Users with Manage Time Clocking permissions will have the ability to add clockings manually. By clicking on +Add Manual Clocking, you will be able to add clockings for employees. This is useful when an employee forgets to punch in for a shift.
The same can be done in bulk by clicking on the kebab menu (three dots) next to +Add Manual Clocking and selecting Time logs or Raw Clockings. For more information on this, you may check this out.
Clocking Filters
Further below, you will see a number of filters which allow you to filter out the clockings by department, employee name, job schedule, position title, work location, payroll period, etc.
You may also filter out contractors and view clockings based on their clocking status.
If an employee is not shown in the Employee filter dropdown, this will be because the employee is not enabled for Time & Attendance, is not employed/terminated during the date range given, or there is a filter already in place excluding them. You will need to correct this for them to become visible.
There are 4 clocking statuses:
- Running Timer - This refers to clockings done on the day, where the punch clock timer is still running, and so a punch out is not yet available.
- Broken - This refers to cases where an employee forgot to punch out, or else (where the physical punch clock is used), the employee pressed punch 'out' instead of 'in' when punching in.
- Pending Approvals - This refers to clockings which have not yet been approved.
- Processed - This refers to clockings which have been approved.
Clockings List
The last thing you will see on this page is the list of clockings for the selected period and filter settings. You will also see the Total clocked hours in the period. This shows you the total amount in hours and minutes of clockings on your screen.
Edit Mode
By default, the clockings list are in view mode. But should you need to amend clockings (such as broken clockings), you may do so either by clicking on Edit Mode (to edit all clockings in your screen) or else by clicking on the edit icon next to a specific clocking. Here, you will be able to select the correct time, date, location, or work code of the clocking(s) in question:
Only users with Manage Time Clocking permissions can do this.
If a clocking has a padlock icon next to it, this means that the clocking has already been approved and cannot be edited unless the approval is reversed. For more information on approvals of clockings, check this out.
Reports
You may generate reports from the clockings page. These are the same reports available in the Review and Approve section.
