Overview
The most important step in setting up an effective TeamVoice session is adding the right questions for your participants. We provide a dual approach to ensure you gather both comprehensive, consistent data and targeted, actionable insights.
Standard Questions: These 72 predefined questions form a consistent baseline for collecting core information across all sessions.
Custom Questions: Teams can create their own questions to tailor the experience to specific goals and gather more targeted, actionable insights..
Permissions
To add and create team voice questions, you must have Manage Survey permissions or be a Survey Admin. Having the Create TeamVoice permission and being the creator of the TeamVoice allows you to create custom questions as well.
Adding Questions to Team Voice
Adding the right questions is the most crucial step in creating an effective TeamVoice survey. A set of 72 predefined questions is automatically included in every TeamVoice survey and cannot be removed. These standard questions are essential for:
- Ensuring data consistency for year-to-year comparisons.
- Allowing you to compare and benchmark your TeamVoice results against other companies.
To view the TeamVoice questions:
- Go to your TeamVoice
- Click on Step 5
- Click on "View All Questions"
From this list, you can see key details such as the Scale Point and Theme. For a more detailed breakdown, click on the Tooltip icon next to any question. This will provide in-depth information including the: Response Type, Scale Point, Label Type, and Reverse Scoring setting.
Adding and Creating Custom Questions
While the standard list provides a consistent baseline, you may require deeper, targeted insights into specific areas such as evolving company culture, current projects, or recent organisational changes. Adding custom questions is crucial for tailoring the feedback module to points unique to your organization.
To add and create custom questions:
- Click on the "Add Custom Questions" toggle.
- A list of all questions you have previously created will appear on the right side of the screen. To include any of these, simply click the "Add" button next to the desired question.
- If the question you are looking for is not yet available in your list, you can create a brand new one by clicking the "Create New" button.
Standard questions are always mandatory. Custom questions become mandatory only when you specifically enable the "Required" toggle
Next Step
Once your questions are finalised and added, your next step is to define your Survey Settings. This configuration allows you to set essential parameters, including your launch and end dates, as well as establishing the anonymity threshold for the survey results.
