Step 2: Score the Job Positions

Overview

After you have set up the criteria, the second step is to perform job scoring. This process evaluates each position against defined factors, subfactors, and rating scales within the Pay Equity module to assign an objective score.

Permissions

To create job evaluation criteria and score positions, you must have the Manage Pay Equity permission set to Global.

Prerequisites

Before you begin scoring jobs, you must fully set up your evaluation factors and rating scales. For more details, see our guide on Defining Your Criteria.

Instructions

Once your criteria are established, follow these sequential steps to score a position:

  1. Click Evaluate next to your chosen position to open the factor rating scale.


     
  2. Rate each evaluation factor based on the specific requirements of the role.


     
  3. Finalise your adjustments by selecting one of the saving options:
    • Click Save Draft to log your progress and continue editing later.
    • Click Save & Publish to complete the evaluation and view the overall score.

Managing Job Evaluations

The framework allows you to track changes and collaborate directly on the position record:

  • View History: Review a chronological log of all modifications made to the evaluation.


     
  • Manage Comments: Add new collaborative notes or view previous feedback strings left by others.

Viewing Results

Once an evaluation has been published, you will be able to view the overall score:
