Training Permissions

Overview

Permissions determine what you can and cannot see/do on Talexio. It is important to set these up correctly. Click here for detailed instructions on how to set up permissions. Click here for the full list of available permissions. Read on for an explanation on the permissions relating to the Training module. Training permissions primarily target what you can see and do in the Training section.

Permissions

To set up and manage permissions, you will need the Manage Permissions permission, and this must be set to global. 

Training Permissions

There are 6 permissions in this section:

  • This allows the user to add, edit, and delete competencies and qualifications. This permission needs to be used together with the Manage Courses permission. The user will be able to access the Training section and add competencies and qualifications (through bulk upload or individually):

    Click on the links for more information about setting up Competencies and Requirements.

  • This allows the user to access the Training section. From here, the user will have access to the Courses tab, whereby they may view, add, edit, and delete courses. The user may also generate training reports, add course categories, view competencies and qualifications. This permission needs to be set on global.

  • This allows the user to add, edit, and delete employees' competencies and qualifications. This permission needs to be used together with either the View All Employee Data or Manage All Employee Data permissions.

  • This allows the user to access the Training section and view courses. From here, the user may schedule sessions by clicking on the +Schedule A Session button. Users will also need the Manage Courses and View/Manage All Employee Data permissions to make use of this permission.

  • This allows the user to access the Training section and add attendees, mark them as absent or present, and download attendance sheets for sessions. This permission needs to be used in conjunctions with the View/Manage All Employee Data and one of either the View Training or Manage Courses permissions.

    If the user has the Manage Courses permission and does not have Submit Attendance Sheet, then they will still be able to download the attendance sheet, but cannot add attendees or mark them as present or absent.

  • This allows the user to view the Course tab in the Training section. If a user has the View Training permission on self, then s/he will be able to view the courses that s/he has a session in.

    With the View/Manage All Employee Data and the Schedule Training permissions, you will be able to view the Training dashboard of employees and view their training sessions from there.
