Overview
A candidate’s application goes through a lifecycle during the recruitment process. Each application is assigned a status to indicate its current stage. This article explains how to update an application’s status.
The status of an application can be changed from two places, the process however is identical:
- Vacancies Section
- Candidate Section
A Free ATS user will only have the following statuses “Open”, “In Progress” and “Closed”
To change an application status:
- Locate the application from the Vacancy or the Candidate profile.
- Click on the three dots ⋮ and select “Change Applicant Status” or click on the dropdown under the column “Application Status”
- Select a Status from the dropdown.
- Select “Change Status” or “Change Status & Send Email”. You will not need to select any of these options if you have changed the status directly from the “Application Status” column.
- If Change Status & Send Email was selected, you will need to select the email template from the options available or create a new email from a blank text box which will be sent to the candidate.
When the email has been reviewed, click Change Status & Send Email to make the application status change and trigger the email.
