Overview
The following article provides a step-by-step guide for users who do not have a Talexio account but have purchased a punch clock device or are using the Cloud Device Manager (CDM). It will guide you through the process of setting up your device and adding employees, so they can start clocking in and out without any problems.
This guide is only meant for users who do not use Talexio HR and Time and Attendance to manage their employees. For users with Talexio, kindly refer to the following article.
Adding employees directly to your punch clock device

Log in to your punch clock using your administrator account and go to the main menu.
Kindly contact our support team should you require assistance or is missing your log in credentials.
- Go to User management
- Tap on New user
- Enter your employee's credentials, starting with the User ID
User IDs are unique and should not be shared between the punch clock device and third-party software. This procedure is recommended if you are NOT using Talexio HR to manage employees.
- Add the Employee Name
- Add the employee’s biometric data. You can set one, two, or all three options.

Adding employees directly through the CDM
If you are not using a Talexio-supported device, please follow the instructions below.
Individual upload
- Log in to the CDM.
- Click on the Employee tab.
- Click Add Employee in the top right corner to add a new employee.
- Fill in the form to create your employee. The UNIQUE ID is important for your punch data - this is a unique employee number to distinguish an employee. and it cannot be changed later.
- Any new employees you add will be automatically sent to your device/s.
Bulk upload
If you would like to use the bulk upload template, kindly reach out to us.
- Log in to the CDM
- Click on the Employee tab
- Click on the "Bulk Upload Button".

Once this is done, on the devices, you will find the new employees and you can add their biometrics (face/finger/palm) as instructed.
